Hemoglobin is a red protein that is solely responsible for the transportation of oxygen in the blood. It does not help with blood clotting.

Explanation:

Platelets are the part of blood that is responsible for blood clotting.

When we cut ourselves, the blood seeps out, carrying platelets.

The platelets stick to the injured area and to each other, forming a mesh that plugs the injury.

They also interact with other blood proteins to form fibrin.

Fibrin forms a network of threads and also holds back the further flow of blood.
