Homogenous mixture is one that dissolves its solute particles in solvent completely and the particle size is very small.

eg: salt solution

Heterogenous mixture is one where the solute particles are larger and don't allow the solvent to dissolve it.

eg: sand in water

what is homogeneous and heterogeneous mixture?

\huge\mathfrak\color{blue}{Answer}

\large\underline\mathrm{Homogeneous\:mixture}

A mixture is formed by combining two or more materials. A homogeneous mixture appears uniform, regardless of where you sample it. ... Examples of homogeneous mixtures include air, saline solution, most alloys, and bitumen.

\large \underline\mathrm{Heterogeneous\:mixture}

Mixtures in two or more phases are heterogeneous mixtures. Examples include ice cubes in a drink, sand and water, and salt and oil. The liquid that is immiscible form heterogeneous mixtures. A good example is a mixture of oil and water.
