The components are distributed uniformly.
The components can be distinguished from each other.
Examples - Salt in water, sugar in water.

● Homogeneous mixtures -
- Mixtures with uniform composition are called homogenous mixtures.
- E.g. air, alcohol, salt solution, glucose soln, etc.
● Heterogeneous mixtures -
- Mixtures with non-uniform composition are called heterogenous mixtures.
- E.g. phenol-water system, water-oil system.
