Hypermetropia means having long sightedness. There is also a difficulty to see near objects.
Here , the image falls behind the retina and a convex lens is required to correct it

hrishikeshborg: Hyperopia (farsightedness) is the condition of the eye where incoming rays of light reach the retina before they converge into a focused image.

hypermetropia is a    defect of  vision in which a person is able to focus on an object in the distance but not on close objects. it is caused by the failure of lens to return to it's normal rounded shape
