Question given :

What is Hyperopia ? What is the cause of it ? Explain with a diagram how to correct this defect ?

Answer :

Hyperopia is a condition in humans, that the people can't see the nearby objects clearly. It appears blur for them .

It commonly happens in case of adults.

Cause of Hyperopia :

The main cause of Hyperopia is that it makes the objects(that you are seeing) too blur to see.

It usually happens due to, when the focus of someone's eye is weak ,then the image that should be form in retina in this case the image gets formed behind the retina.

→The main defect that rise this problem are :

  • When the eyeball gets shorter.
  • When the focal length of eye lens becomes too large.

The defect can be corrected by using convex that is also known as converging lens.

The convex lens should be of appropriate focal length.

The correction of the defect by diagram is being attached. Kindly see it !

Farsightedness (hyperopia) is a common vision condition in which you can see distant objects clearly but objects nearby may be blurry.

Causes of hypermetropia:

(i) the focal length of the eye lens is too long, or

(ii) the eyeball becomes too short, so that light rays from the nearby object, say at point N, cannot be brought to focus on the retina to give a distinct image.
