A hypothetical question is a question based on based on assumptions not facts and is formulated to arrive at an answer applicable in some unprepared situations in the absence of a dependable data.

It contains unproven assumptions or imaginary scenarios and problems. The answers to these type of questions are generally quite tricky.

An example is :-

You are leading 100 people in a survivalist situation, when suddenly all your lives are in danger and you must choose between two courses of action. One would cause 10 of the people to die and everyone else would live, the other would have a 70% chance of saving everyone but were it to fail then everyone would die. Which would you choose?

Another example:-
What if everyone on Earth jumped at once?

Vijayannamalai: I can't understand, pls can you give example for it?
Vijayannamalai: Example please
