hypotonic-when the concentration outside the cell is more and the movement of solution is in the cell, due to which the cell swells up.
hypertonic- when the concentration inside the cell is more than outside the movement is outside, due to which the cell shrinks.
isotonic- when the concentration is equal and there is no change in the cell.

heya !!!☺

here's your answer:-

_____________________________

◆ ISOTONIC SOLUTION:- A solution having a concentration such that it neither gains nor loses water by osmosis.
>>the relative concentration of water molecules and solute on either side of cell membrane is same.

◆HYPERTONIC SOLUTION:-is the one whose solute concentration is higher than the solute concentration inside the cell.
>>When a cell is placed in a hypertonic solution, then water moves out of the cell through osmosis, leading to cell shrinking.
>>here, exosmosis occurs.

◆HYPOTONIC SOLUTION:- is the one whose solute concentration is lower than the solute concentration inside the cell.
>>When a cell is placed in a hypotonic solution, then water moves in the cell through osmosis, leading to swelling of cell which may result in cell bursting.
>>here, ENDOSMOSIS occurs.
