Immunity is the resistance exhibited by host towards infectious pathogens. It is just like protection against diseases.

Types of Immunity in humans :-

1. Innate immunity - It is the immunity possessed by an individual since birth(inborn). It's natural type of immunity which is due to genetic make-up of an individual.

2. Acquired immunity - It is the artificial form of immunity possessed by an individual after formation of antibodies in his/her body.
