Inertia is the tendency of any object in this universe to resist a change in it's state of motion
Inertia can be defined for two possible cases !

Inertia of rest is when a body at rest when given externally a speed ie to change its state of rest into state of motion , the body will resist this change by some factor.

Vice Versa is true for Inertia of motion
