Explanation:

If you are on a train and the train is moving at a constant speed, a toy tossed into the air will go straight up and then come down. This is because the toy has inertia like the train and you. If a car is moving forward it will continue to move forward unless friction or the brakes interfere with its movement.

Inertia is the resistance of any physical object to any change in its velocity . This includes change to the object speed , or direction of motion . An aspect of this property is the tendency of object to keep moving in a straight line at a constant speed , when no force act upon them .

Some common examples of the inertia of motion that can we observed in our daily lives include : while sitting in the passenger 's position on a motorcycle , the sudden application of brakes by the driver cause the passenger to experience a push in the forward direction .

2nd example : Athletes taking a short run before a jump .

3rd example : You feel a backward force when the bus moves quickly from rest ..
