Inertia is the inability of an object to change it's state of rest or motion unless and external force is applied to it.
Inertia comes from the Latin word, iners, meaning idle, sluggish.
There are 3 types: 1.inertia of motion
2.inertia of rest
3.inertia of direction
According to newton's first law of motion an object tends to remain in rest or in uniform motion unless and external force is applied.
