Inherited character: the characters which are passed from one generation to next generation through DNA in the germ cells are called inherited traits. for example eye colour quality of hair seed shape etc.
Acquired character : the characters which are developed in the organisms during the lifetime and are not inherited by the next generation are called acquired characters. these are also known as somatic traits. for example learning of any skill
