The Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone(ICTZ) is known by the sailors. It is a zone which lacks the air that simply rises with convention. The ICTZ is also known as Equatorial Convergence Zone or Intertropical Front. This zone experiences increased precipitation due to conventional lifting. It is located near the equator, 5⁰ north and 5⁰ south, the northeast Trade winds and the southeast trade winds converge in a low pressure zone known as ICTZ.
