The phenomenon of change from one state of matter to another, and then back to the original state is called the Interconversion of states of matter. It is affected by changes in the conditions such as - Changing the temperature. Increasing or decreasing the pressure.

Matters can be changed from one state to another state. A solid can be changed into liquid and a liquid can be changed into gas. Most of the metals, which are solid, turn into liquid on heating and turn into vapor on further heating.
