Interference:
When two waves come across each other, sometimes they increase the effect of each other and sometimes they cancel the effect of each other. This phenomenon is called as interference. It has two types.
Constructive interference: When two light waves increase the effect of each other then it is called as constructive interference.
Destructive interference: When two light waves cancel the effect of each other then it is called as destructive interference.
