There exists some force of attraction between the molecules of matter , this force of attraction is known as intermolecular forces of attraction.

It is also known as Cohesive force .

Additional Data :

The force of attraction is very strong between the particles of solid.

The force of attraction between the particles of liquid is lesser than that of solid particles.

There exists negligible force of attraction among the particles of gas.
