The ionosphere is actually the layer of the atmosphere which is almost at the extreme outer part of the Earth,s atmosphere. The molecules and free atoms in the ionosphere are agitated and energized by the solar radiations(mainly-UV-A and UV-B), which is because, they loose the free electrons(some on the other hand gain electrons lost by the others) and turn into ions or charged particles. Thus, the ionosphere is named.

Answer:

 \huge \textbf \color{purple}{Ionosphere }

This layer is located above the mesosphere and extends upto about 600 km above the surface and also contains the electrically charged particles, called ions. Thus Ionosphere reflects the radiowaves back to the Earth, thereby making radio communication possible.
