*Isotopes have the same atomic number but different mass number.

They have same chemical properties due to same number of neutrons and protons.

Example-Carbon exists in 2 isotopic forms.One with mass number 12 and other with 14.

*Isobars have same mass number but different atomic number.

Example-Argon and calcium have different atomic number but same mass number i.e.40.
