Isotopes of an element means that element have same atomic number but has different mass numbers.

Means the no of protons of an element doesn't change but the no of neutrons will change.

example,

hydrogen has three isotopes

protium, deuterium, tritium have mass numbers 1, 2, 3 respectively.
