Isotopes are the elemnets with same atomic number but different mass number. That means an element can exists in more than one form in nature. For example, the two isotopes of Chlorine are ³⁵Cl and ³⁷Cl.

Isotones are elements which have same neutron number but different proton number. ³⁷Cl and ⁴⁰Ca are isotones because they have same neutron number but different proton number.

Isoelectronic elements are those elements which have same number of electrons in their respective shells. For example, Na⁺ and Mg²⁺ are isoelectronic species as they have same of electrons.

hello friend...!!

• isoelectronic :

if Two atoms or ions or molecules having same number of electrons

example : Na+ is isoelectronic with Mg+2.
the number of electron in both the species is 10.

• isotopes :

the elements have same atomic number but different mass number are said to be isotopes.

example : 6C12 and 6C13.

here both carbon has same atomic number 6 but different mass number as 12 and 13.

Isotone :

the elements have same number of neutrons but different number of protons are said to be isotones.

example : Cl37 and K39

both have 20 neutrons but have different protons.
