What is it advised not to hold the thermometer by its bulb while reading it

because it is bulb to find certain temperature.

Hey. .here is ur answer

because the level of Mercury increases due to our body temperature and effect the actual reading. Always hold a thermometer from its top end and read the level of Mercury...
