The waste materials from the intestine move into the large intestine. The large intestine is approximately 1.5 m in lenght. Here about 90% of water is reabsorbed back into the blood stream. Bacteria in the large intestine break down the waste material producing, folic acid, vitamin b, vitamin k, which are trasported to the blood stream. The rectum stores the feacal matter until eliminated by the anus.
