According to this law during a chemical reaction the mass can neither be created and nor be destroyed.

Law of conservation of mass states that mass is neither created nor destroyed in chemical reactions.According to the law of conservation of mass , the mass of products in a chemical reaction must equal to the mass of the reactants .
