Refraction is a phenomenon where the light rays change their speed according to the medium.

\mathbb{LAWS\:OF\:REFRACTION}

  • The ray of incidence , refraction and normal lie on the same plane.
  • The sine of angle of incidence divided by the sine of angle of refraction gives a constant known as Refractive index. This is known as Snell's law.

=>>> \frac{sini}{sinr} = constant ( Refractive Index )

The Laws of Refraction:

1. The incident ray, the refracted ray and the normal to the interface of two media at the point of incidence all lie in the same plane.

2. For the light of a given color and for given pair of media, the ratio of the sine of the angle of incidence to the sine of the angle of refraction is constant.

Hope this will help you ✌
