Lead chamber process is an industrial method used to produce sulfuric acid in large quantities. This method starts with the usage sulfur dioxide (SO2) as it is introduced in the steam and NOx. The gases are sprayed in the chamber with Lead metal sheets. The sulfur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide are allowed to react for 30 minutes as the sulfur dioxide is oxidized to sulfuric acid. The aqueous sulfuric acid produced has a percent concentration containing 62% to 78% H2SO4.
