To ensure a separation of powers, the U.S. Federal Government is made up of three branches: legislative, executive and judicial. To ensure the government is effective and citizens' rights are protected, each branch has its own powers and responsibilities, including working with the other branches.

Legislative, Executive ,Judiciary are the working institutions of India. The legislative, executive and judiciary are interdependent in India as the legislative organ of the state makes laws, the executive puts into effect them and the judiciary applies them to the cases arising out of the breach of law.
Each such organ works in coordination with the other and a strict separation of functions is not possible .
