Refractive lens exchange is also known as lens replacement surgery and it is definitely a better option than LASIK, PRK or phakic.
Len replacement is for patients suffering from presbyopia and high hyperopia (farsightedness).
Refractive lens exchange (RLE) helps to replace your eye's natural lens with an artificial intraocular lens (IOL).
This corrects the refractive error and helps in achieving sharper focus. It then reduces the need for reading glasses or bifocals.
It is a legal procedure and at times the best way to correct particular vision problems.

a surgical way of correction of focal adjustment of the eye lens, which due to some reason is not able to adjust the focal length and hence creates problem in vision. the surgical method involves installation of an artificial lens instead of the natural eye lens.
