The state in which the particles or molecules of the substance are fluid and distance between the molecules is much less than the molecules present in solid state is the Liquid State.

Hello Mate !
In Case of liquids there are weaker attraction force as comparison to the solid state.
Hence the particles or molecules are at a state of greater thermal motion in comparison to solids.
They Occupies some volume but doesn't have a definite geometry.
