loamy soil contains plenty of organic matter(humus) which keeps the soil microorganisms which keep the soil fertile alive.it also supports a large variety of plant species.so loamy soil is very fertile.

Loam is a type of soil consisting clay, sand and silt. It is fertile as it contains a lot of organic matter, the decomposed plants and animal matter. It is also known as humus. It is suitable for many species of plants.
