Latitude are the imaginary lines that are drawn from east to west. There are 6 main latitudes they are Tropic of Cancer, Tropic of Capricorn, North Pole, South pole, Arctic Circle and Antarctic circle.

Longitude are the lines that are drawn from

north to south . It is also called as prime meridian. There are totally 360 lines at 1°

interval.

The Criss crossing lines of latitude and longitude are called as geographic grid.
