Hi . Here's ur answer....

Longitudinal waves
These waves travel in a direction which is parallel to the direction of propagation. In this, compressions and rarefactions are formed. these waves can travel through solid, liquid and gas. Eg: sound waves

Traverse waves
Transverse waves travel in a direction which is perpendicular to the direction of propagation. In this, crests and troughs are formed. These waves can travel through solid and surface of liquid. Eg:Light waves.

Hope it helps please mark it as brainliest if you find it useful friend :-)
