lymph is another medium of circulation in the human body. but lymph flows in only one direction.FUNCTIONS;

lymph helps in removing the waste products like fragments of dead cells,etc.

lymph protects the body by killing the germs drained out of the body tissues with the help of lymphocytes contained in the lymph nodes, and by making antibodies.

1.Its composition continuously changes as the blood and the surrounding cells  exchange substances with the interstitial fluid.

2.It is generally similar to blood plasma.

3.Unlike blood, which flows throughout the body, lymph flows in only one direction within its own system. This flow is only upward towards the neck.

The lymphatic system has multiple inter related functions:

-  responsible for the removal of interstitial fluid from tissues.

-  absorbs and transports fatty acids from the digestive system.

-  transports white blood cells to and from the lymph nodes into the bones.
