When a charged particle moves with some acceleration, it emits electromagnetic radiations, which is a combination of electric and magnetic fields, propagating perpendicular to each other. The magnetic field is a field which causes a force in a direction perpendicular to it and depends on the velocity of the charged particle. It is given by B, and is a vector quantity. The magnetic field in reality, can be explained via the theory of relativity, and in one sense is actually an electric field viewed from a different frame of reference.
