They are: Notochord– It is a longitudinal rod that is made of cartilage and runs between the nerve cord and the digestive tract. Its main function is to support the nerve cord. In Vertebrate animals, the vertebral column replaces the notochord.

1.NOTOCHORD IS PRESENT IN IT.

2.ALL THE CHORDATES ARE TROPHOBLASTIC ,COELOMATE AND BILATERALLY SYMMETRICAL.

3.A DORSAL HOLLOW TUBULAR NERVE CHORD AND PAIRED PHARYNGEAL GILL SLITS ARE OTHER FEATURES OF CHORDATES.
