the main absorption site in man is jejunum in small intestine...
it is adapted to absorb more food as it contains large number of villi which increase it's surface area... hence increasing absorption....
hope it helps !! ❤️

the main site of absorption of digested food in man is small intestine. the inner surface of small intestine has millions of tiny,finger-like projections called villi. The surface of villi gives the inner walls of the small intestine a very large surface area. And the large surface area of small intestine helps in the rapid absorption of digested food.
