The process in which the policies and ideas of mandal commission was implemented was called mandalisation.
The government of India had appointed the Second Backward Classes commission which was headed by B.P Mandal in 1979.This commission was called Mandal commission.

The commission gave report in 1980 and made some recommendations.The implementation of these recommendations is popularly called Mandalisation of Indian politics
