First and foremost mass media’s principal objective is to Inform the masses and this will built a public opinion, the government uses the media to inform people of recalls, or educate and bring awareness to people on new laws and policies.

Advertizing agency and firms Public Relations or Marketing Firms use mass media to Persuade the masses with commercials so people can buy products, brands, and/or services.

Some News on social media and others news [1]sources are propaganda and fake news. Use to confuse and separate people, purposely, like the hypodermic needle Hitler used, you can read up about Kellner’s “Magic Bullet Theory” link here

For reference check out Charlie Bernays the God Father of Public Relations.[2]

Entertainment we watch is mass media on the Television, on the Internet and in Magazines.

Objectives for diplomatic purposes and saving people like an SOS and for archiving history and creating and preserving historical data and educating the masses about great historic people of the past.

Mass media creates Linkages and Social Constructs, all media creates reality
