Step by step method

Mass of solution = mass of solvent + mass of

solute

Mass of methanol (solute) = 24 g

Mass of water (solvent) = 96 g

Mass of solution = 96 g + 24 g = 120 g

Concentration of solution ( mass by masss percentage of solution) = mass of solute/mass of solution x 100

Concentration of solution = 24/120 x 100 = 20 %
