Any substance that occupies space and has mass is called matter.

the matter is of three types:-
 - solid.
 - liquid.
 - gas.

Solid-  It has a definite volume.
            It has a definite shape.
The particles in solid are tightly packed.

Liquid- It has a definite volume.
            It doesn't have shape.
The particles in the liquid are loosely packed.

Gas- It Doesn't have a definite volume.
