Matter is the substance that provides all real entities with objective reality and positive existence in space. There are no other real entities without matter. Hence, everything in universe (including what we currently call as space) is made of matter. Real entities are sensed by rational beings (or their instruments).
Functional entities (like; energy, mass, 'force', attributes, qualities, etc.), created by rational beings, are non-matter. They fulfil functions assigned to them by rational beings.
For details, see: 'MATTER'
