When a potential difference of 1V across a were gives rise to 1A current through the wire, then the resistance is said to be 1 ohm.

a wire is said to have a resistance of 1 ohm when 1 ampere of current flows through it under the potential difference of 1 volt.

V=IR\\R= \frac{V}{I\\} \\R=\frac{1 volt}{1 A}= 1ohm

hope it helps
