⚫The term "written sources" refer to those documents which were written earlier to preserve for a long time.

⚫These sources are also called as literary sources and manuscripts.

⚫By preserving documents we can keep them for long.

⚫In earlier times, mostly the written sources were preserved by British officials. They were in habit of writing every decision, agreement, plan etc.

⚫All the documents which was written by British were again copied in many styles like calligraphy. They meant these resources as very essential for administration.

⚫But written sources not only include other sources which are preserved by British, please also include the holy books like Mahabharata, Ramayana, Quran etc.
