If I understood the question correctly, ms*-2 is the SI unit of acceleration.

It can also be written as m/s*2.

As acceleration = velocity/ time and velocity = length/ time,

we basically get acceleration = length/ time*time = length/ time*2

The SI unit of length is metre and the SI unit of time is second, therefore the SI unit of acceleration becomes meter per second squared.
