vapoyr pressure of liquid is the pressure exerted by vapours at equilibrium with the liquid at this stage dynamic equilibrium is established. When liquid is heated its capour pressure increses. The evaporated vapours exert more pressure and this pressure becomes equal to external pressure. The pressure causes all the liquid molecules to escape. The liquid molecules even from the bottom start to evaporate this comes in form of bubbles to the surface. This temperature at which this all thing happens is called boiling point of liquid.

srushpanjain: Why " The evaporated vapours exert more pressure and this pressure becomes equal to external pressure. "
