In chemistry, neutralization or neutralisation is a chemical reaction in which an acid and a base react quantitatively with each other. In a reaction in water, neutralization results in there being no excess of hydrogen or hydroxide ions present in the solution.

ACID-BASE✔️✔️✔️

Neutralisation reaction:

Reaction in which acid and base react with each other to form salt, water along with the evolution of heat.

Example:

Hydrochloric acid when reacts with sodium hydroxide then it gives sodium chloride, water and heat.

Here,

Acid is : Hydrochloric acid.

Base is : Sodium hydroxide ( NaOH)

Salt formed is : Sodium chloride ( Nacl)
