alkanes = an satuarated hydrocarbons in which the carbon atoms are connected by only single covalent bond.

alkenes= an unsatuarated hydrocarbons in which the two carbon atom are connected by a double bond is called an alkene.

alkynes= an unsatuarated hydrocarbons in which the carbon atoms are connected by triple bond is called an alkyne.

They are known as hydrocarbons having different covalent bond with hydrogen.
I. alkanes are having single covalent bond between carbon and hydrogen atom.
ii. alkenes are having double covalent bond.
iii.alkynes are having triple covalent bond.
