the occurrence of some elements in more than one form is known as alloptrophy
example :-carbon
carbon has two types of allotropes they r amorphous Nd crystalline
example of amorphous :-charcoal ,coal, sugar charcoal etc
example of crystalline :- daimond ,graphite,buck minister fullerence etc..
hope this help u. :-)

Allotrophy means the various physical forms in which an element can exist are called allotrophy.

There are generally three allotropes of carbon

1.----- Diamond -- it is a colourless transparent substance having extraordinary brilliance . it burn on strongs heating to form co2.

2----- The second is :- Graphite _---. it is a greyish black opaque substance .it is a soft whereas diamond is hard { this shows that property of allotropes I.e different physical forms }

3..--- Buckminsterfullerene--- is allotropes of carbon contains cluster of 60 carbon atoms joined together to form spherical molecules .

I think it's enough according to your questions . if you easily understand my answer then no prblm to give me brainlist answer .. ☺☺
