the number of people increased in a particular year per 100 people is the annual growth rate of population. Low annual growth rate is not considered good for india because there are very less people increasing in the country and lack of human capital or labour. It is going to affect the development and balance on economy of India.

The rate at. which the number of individuals in a population increase in 1 year as a fraction of the initial population is called annual growth rate of population.

The low annual growth rate of population is considered not good for India because-

1- With the increase in birth rate the annual growth generally increases.

2- For a larger population, even a lower birth rate the annual growth keeps on increasing.

3- For example, since 1981 the birth rates declined rapidly, still 18.20 crore of people were added to the total population in the 1990s alone. If we calculate annual growth rate based on these data becomes high.
