Answer:

its a racial discrimination term used in south africa. apartheid was a time in south africa where the white population had the highest citizen status then the asians, the coloreds and the blacks last. white people dominated south africa politically, economically and socially. the laws said that black people needed to have a pass book to get to work and travel and would be in trouble if they did not have this book.  They were excluded from public places in white areas, unless they were passing through on the way to work. blacks could only attend certain schools that didnt teach what the white schools taught which meant the blacks will have an inferior education and inferior jobs while the whites had superior education and jobs. in response to this everyone who wasnt white, launched protests and marches and strikes.
