Cartesian Co-ordinate system refers to the system in which the points inside that system are expressed in terms of co-ordinates. It is the majorly used system for calculating various physical dimensions and quantities along with directions.

Some of it's applications are used in determining the vector's range, magnitude, direction and distance with ease.

It is expressed in the form of ( x,y ). Here x refers to the x - coordinate which is called as the abscissa and y refers to the y - coordinate which is called as the ordinate.

So ( x,y ) is the system which is called Cartesian system.
